What factors affect the cost of a heat pump installation?
- Equipment size: The size (tonnage) of a heat pump measures its power. More tonnage allows a heat pump to heat or cool larger homes. If you aren’t sure how much power you’ll need, don’t worry. A Comfort Advisor from YR Services and Reparation 24 Hours can help identify a proper system size for your home during a free in-home consultation.
- Efficiency rating: Heat pumps have two different scores for measuring efficiency: HSPF and SEER. HSPF measures heating efficiency. SEER measures cooling efficiency. The higher these scores are, the more efficient the system. Heat pumps with higher scores cost more to purchase upfront. But they’ll save you more on your energy bills every month, too.
- Advanced features: Some homeowners are interested in different features and add-ons for their heat pump. UV lights, whole-home dehumidifiers, variable-speed motors, and smart thermostats are all considered additional features that improve convenience and system efficiency. We ask questions to help narrow down your choices
Every customer is different. We embrace that. The goal of our Comfort Advisors is to find a heat pump system that’s right for your home and budget, and yours alone. We’ll assess your home’s square footage and layout to identify the proper system size. And we’ll give you at least four model options with upfront pricing to help you make the right decision for both your comfort and your finances.

We prepare for your installation day
Once you’ve decided on the right system for your home, your comfort advisor will put all the pieces in place to give you a great installation day experience. We’ll help you apply for financing upon request, look for possible state and local rebates (and apply for them on your behalf), and ready your brand new system and the team that will install it. The good news: you won’t have to lift a finger during any of it.

We install your system in just one visit to your home
For the installation itself, you’re able to choose between a morning or afternoon installation time, as well as any day of the week you’d like (even Sundays!) Once we arrive, we’ll remove your old system, install the new one, and test it to make sure it works properly. We’ll also clean up our work area and leave your home cleaner than how we found it.
